This one day course is suitable for people who wish to gain new knowledge and skills in basic Bushcraft or for those who wish some refresher training for their own personal CPD.
It has been developed as a basic introduction to improving students' knowledge of Flora and Fauna, shelter building, tool use and sustainable fire lighting.
All our Bushcraft Training is delivered by qualified teachers with first-hand experience in working in the outdoors, and providing bushcraft session to groups.
All our Bushcraft training is delivered in a sustainable way outdoors at our beautiful private woodland centre in the heart of Dorset, thus ensuring the training is as real as possible.
Each course can be adjusted to suit the requirements of the students from beginners days to more advanced days which would include friction fire lighting.
No previous experience is required for these days, the pace of the day will be set to ensure the students are given maximum time for learning.
The idea to develop our Woodland School came from listening to staff from pre-schools in Dorset who were finding it difficult to access a private safe woodland environment where the children would be free to explore and learn with the minimum worry of interruptions from members of the public, mountain bike riders, dogs mess and the constant worry about safety of the children during a visit to the woods ruining the day.
We have been using our outdoor woodland training centre to deliver inspirational experiences to groups of young children and teenagers for over Twenty years, and over the past ten years have been providing an area of our site as a Forest School allowing younger pre-school children to also experience Forest School Learning.
Our ethos for Woodland Learning is about bringing nature and young people together so that they can experience and learn more about how to preserve their environment. We believe that giving young children the opportunity to develop first-hand the thrill of exploration with fun and educational outdoor activities can only help improve their understanding of the world.

Our training concentrates on solving practical tasks as a team where management, leadership and team building techniques are introduced gradually through the session enabling the team and individuals to gain confidence and ability and a much stronger team dynamic.
Our creative and unique team building courses incorporate professional leadership and management training into an engaging event that aims to develop a more cohesive team and effective workforce.
We can run a one day course where the team will solve different challenges and will have to work together to do so. This course has been run for companies, schools, colleges and even pre-schools. This can be done to improve teamwork or just to have some fun out in the woods.
We can run overnight courses were the teams will be put through their paces. Arriving in Moreton ,they will have to learn how to read a map and find their way into the woods. Once in the woods the team will have to make camp either using tents or making their own shelters. The team will have to do a night rescue mission and then the next day navigate the woods and using teamwork solving different tasks. Before the team finish they will have to test their skills on the obstacle course and then find their way back to where they began.
