This three day course is suitable for people who need a more advanced First Aid
qualification to provide first aid
to someone who is injured, becomes unwell or suffers a medical emergency at work.
We have the option to run this course blended so you will only need 2 days of face to face training along with some pre-course online learning.
We can also add extra protocols to this course in line with the First Aid at Work
Regulations Appendix 4 as required, such as Forestry +F, Oxygen administration including masks, Airway Adjuncts, Bag valve Mask use, Drowning and Hypothermia to mention just a few. (This will require extra time allocated to the course as required)
All our First Aid at Work
training is delivered by ex-front line Ambulance
staff with firsthand experience in providing real first aid to casualties in sometimes arduous situations.
Our tutor lead courses are all practical with no PowerPoint or exams , only good old tutor ongoing assessments and a final practical assessment on the last day of the course.
We run open courses across Dorset and can also bring the training to your setting for a group of students as required.
We can also run this course at our outdoor woodland training centre ensuring the training is as real as possible.
Each student will receive a current first aid
manual and certificate valid for three years on successful completion of the end of course assessment.
Our courses are accredited by the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB) and fully comply with the requirements of the Health and Safety (HSE)(First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Resuscitation Council (UK).
